Italy once again this year reconfirmed itself as the favorite European tourist destination by the readers of the Daily & Sunday Telegraph.
Approximately 23,000 readers of the prestigious magazine sent questionnaires to the newspaper outlining their travel and holiday preferences in what is considered to be one of the most widespread and accurate researches on the habits and tendencies of British travelers.
Italy, therefore, was nominated "Favorite European Country", followed by France and Spain, while in the "Favorite City Worldwide" category Venice shared 2nd place with Cape Town (1 ◦ New York) and in the hotel industry rankings, Hotel Villa d'Este on Lake Como came first in the "Favourite Hotels Worldwide" category.
The Daily Telegraph, a quality newspaper with the highest readership in the United Kingdom, has a circulation of approximately 651,184 for daily copies and 489,508 for the Sunday issue.
