The ridge of the Emilia-Romagna Apennines lies on the border between Emilia-Romagna and Tuscany; for this reason, the three largest ski resorts in Emilia-Romagna - Monte Cimone (Modena), Corno alle Scale (Bologna) and Cerreto Laghi (Reggio Emilia) - are easily accessible from both Bologna and Florence airports within a 2-hour drive. The resorts are surrounded by all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay on the slopes.

Skiing in Emilia Romagna

15 ski resorts and 300 kms of slopes in the mountains of Emilia-Romagna await winter sports enthusiasts with all the services and facilities they need for a fun-filled ski holiday.

In Emilia-Romagna you can find downhill slopes, cross-country runs, snowboarding and baby parks, to satisfy beginner and professional skiers, families and the most adventurous youngsters.

There are three ski resorts that are considered the "queens" of the region: the Mount Cimone area (Modena), the Corno alle Scale (Bologna) area and the Cerreto Laghi area (Reggio Emilia). In addition, there are many other ski resorts that are smaller but no less well equipped.

Around the ski resorts, there are numerous trails that can be followed with snowshoes discovering the pristine nature of 14 regional and 2 national parks, among woods, lakes and waterfalls.

And, at the end of an active day on the snow, the cuisine of Emilia-Romagna is ready to satisfy even the most demanding appetites with all the traditional recipes, from fresh handmade pasta to the most delicious products of the forest, such as mushrooms and truffles.
