ENIT WINS BEST STAND AWARD FOR BUSINESS AT WTM LONDON

1700 M2 FOR OVER 1000 MEETINGS WITH INTERNATIONAL BUYERS

Italy is also number one at the trade fair. ENIT's stand at the World Trade Market in London was awarded for being the best in terms of business by garnering the Best Stand Award 2022 in the 'Doing Business' category.

The award recognises ENIT's ability to attract visitors and create opportunities to meet and exchange through networking and sharing moments aimed at developing important business connections.

With an area of over 1700 square metres, the exhibition dedicated to the promotion of tourism in Italy is one of the largest in the entire fair, accommodating 16 regions and over 250 companies and operators in the sector. The brand identity adorning the entire space is linked to the #LiveItalian campaign and is used for promotion of the italia.it portal to ensure full consistency with the external leisure communication of the Italian National Tourism Board. The walls of the London space have become the backdrop for ad hoc images decorated with the different stylised patterns to highlight Italian tourism products, but also advertising spaces with artwork linked to the #LiveItalian campaign with its claims and creative twist.

‘This is a recognition that reinforces our efforts to enhance the promotional thrust of Italy's image around the world. We are honoured to give value and prominence to the regions and to create opportunities for exchange and networking among stakeholders in the sector. The UK is a market of great potential. Travellers from the United Kingdom are, in fact, at the top of the list of foreign tourists who come to Italy to spend their holidays. They prefer to stay in hotels (10 million presences equal to 73.5% of the total) but do not spurn tourist villages. What persuades the British to come to Italy are, first and foremost, the cultural attractions, followed by the beaches and the possibility of practising sports on their holiday,’ says Roberta Garibaldi, ENIT's Managing Director.

‘A stand that mirrors the Live Italian campaign, the creative twist to tell the story of Italy beyond the ordinary. Gestures, ideas and moments of everyday life, typical of the Italian lifestyle to narrate moments of Italian-ness. This advertising campaign was conceived for digital and OOH planning for all seasons, focusing on outdoor, luxury and food segments, and has found and finds spectacular OOH spaces as well as incisive online spaces to create brand awareness of Italy as a destination and to generate traffic to italia.it,’ comments Maria Elena Rossi Marketing Director of ENIT.

Conceived with spaces set aside to explore business opportunities, during the first two days of the event the stand recorded the highest number of meetings with international buyers who were also attracted by numerous scheduled events.

In fact, presentations and press conferences took place in the Piazza Italia area, with moments dedicated to discovering the food and wine specialties of the Peninsula through interactive cooking shows and tastings of typical regional products.

The award thus rewards ENIT's ability to attract visitors and create opportunities to meet and exchange through networking and sharing moments aimed at developing important business connections.
