The Ligurian destination wins in the “Bucket List” category. ENIT accepts the award in Vaughan, in the Greater Toronto Area, during one of the Canadian tourism market’s leading B2B events.
The Cinque Terre have once again confirmed their status as one of the Italian destinations most sought after by Canadian travellers, winning the Air Canada Vacations Travellers’ Top Picks Award 2026 in the “Bucket List” category. The award was presented on September 22 in Vaughan, Ontario, during Air Canada Vacations’ 2026 Product Launch, attended by tourism operators, travel advisors and industry partners. ENIT S.p.A. took part in the evening on behalf of destination Italy, accepting the award presented to the Cinque Terre.
The award reflects the preferences of Air Canada Vacations travellers and recognizes the strong international appeal of one of the most iconic areas within Italy’s tourism offering. Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore represent a unique heritage of landscapes, culture, gastronomy and hospitality, capable of inspiring travel and further strengthening Italy’s positioning among the most desirable destinations for the North American market.
The recognition also highlights the promotional activities carried out in the Canadian market. Over the past twelve months, ENIT S.p.A. and the Liguria Regional Tourism Promotion Agency have developed B2B and media initiatives in Toronto, Montréal and Vancouver, connecting Ligurian tourism operators with travel advisors, tour operators and local journalists. These activities have showcased not only the Cinque Terre, but the region’s broader tourism offering, through the promotion of rail connections, longer stays and alternative travel periods, thereby contributing to a better distribution of visitor flows and encouraging more authentic and sustainable travel experiences.
The ceremony took place as part of Air Canada Vacations’ annual Product Launch, an event of particular importance for the Canadian travel trade. The 2026 edition in the Greater Toronto Area brought together approximately 800 tourism professionals, providing a valuable opportunity for networking and dialogue with distribution partners and stakeholders across the tourism supply chain. The event is part of an established programme of engagement with the tourism market: in 2025, Air Canada Vacations’ nationwide roadshow involved more than 4,200 travel advisors and over 100 suppliers and partners.
