ENIT at ILTM Latin America 2026: Italy takes center stage in the Latin American luxury travel market

In São Paulo, the Spazio Italia coordinated by ENIT hosts the Sicilian Region and 23 co‑exhibitors. The 2026 edition records a 20% growth and confirms the strategic role of the LATAM market for Italy’s luxury offering.

ILTM Latin America 2026, the leading B2B event dedicated to luxury travel for the Latin American market, concludes today in São Paulo. Held from 4 to 7 May at the Fundação Bienal de São Paulo, this year’s edition is the largest ever, with a 20% increase compared to 2025 and around 1,500 total participants, including international exhibitors, selected buyers and specialized operators.

In this context, Italy strengthens its presence with the Spazio Italia coordinated by ENIT, hosting the Sicilian Region and 23 co‑exhibiting companies engaged in a full agenda of meetings with highly profiled luxury buyers. This participation confirms Italy’s central role among the most attractive destinations for high‑end travellers, increasingly oriented toward cultural routes, high‑quality hospitality, food & wine, lifestyle and distinctive territories.

The 2026 edition brings together 550 international exhibiting companies, about 25% of which are first‑time participants, and 550 buyers from 85 cities, 11 Latin American countries and 16 Brazilian states. International buyers increased by 50% compared to 2025, with about half attending for the first time — a sign of the event’s expanding commercial reach and growing openness to new outbound markets across LATAM.

The 2026 theme, “Journeys That Matter”, reflects a renewed sensitivity in the high‑end travel sector: journeys that go beyond exclusive access to destinations and instead generate value, authentic connections, attention to local communities and positive impact. Italy aligns with this vision through an offering that meets the expectations of today’s luxury traveller, increasingly interested in personalized proposals, living culture, sustainability, meaningful relationships with local areas and quality time.

The 2026 edition also supports the Casa do Rio NGO in the Amazon, reaffirming the sector’s commitment to social and environmental responsibility.

Compared with other international destinations present at the event, Italy confirms its position among the leading European participants. The strengthened presence of Italian operators and brands stands out within a competitive landscape that includes major delegations and global players in luxury hospitality, such as Switzerland, Atout France — returning after ten years with nine brands — and other international destinations.
