Giro Express 2023 - Ep. 13 - Borgofranco d’Ivrea - Valico del Gran San Bernardo

Borgofranco di Ivrea is the starting point of stage 13 of the Giro d'Italia. Our guide Ilaria introduces us to the famous "balmetti" of Borgofranco. Along the road to the Aosta Valley, we encounter the Fort of Bard, a fortified complex of great historical importance. We then go on to discover the rich Roman testimonies of Aosta. The Aosta Valley has been named the European region of sport for 2023, because its mountains offer a stage suitable for all kinds of sports. The journey ends at the Gran San Bernardo Pass, with its nearly 2500 meters of altitude, the highest point of this edition of the Giro d’Italia.
