For the 15th stage of Giro Express, Ilaria sets off from Seregno, an important commercial crossroads between Milan and the Alps. We start from Piazza Vittorio Veneto, in the shadow of the Barbarossa Tower, a legendary control tower for the roads north of Milan. We then cross the Seriana Valley, an area specialized in textile production; here, the woolen cloth for the uniforms of armies throughout Europe was produced, including the red jackets of Garibaldi's Thousand. Today, the pink jersey of the Giro d'Italia is also produced here, which for the past 4 years has been woven with recycled yarns in the name of sustainability. We conclude our bike ride in Bergamo, a city rich in history, culture, and traditions, which together with Brescia is the Italian Capital of Culture 2023.
