ENIT Tokyo, in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ICCJ), once again partnered in the organization of “Italia, amore mio! 2026”, the largest event in Japan dedicated to promoting Italy. The initiative was held under the patronage of the Embassy of Italy in Japan, Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Minato City administration.
The event took place at Roppongi Hills, in the heart of Tokyo, from June 6–7, 2026. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, “Italia, amore mio!” continues to attract large audiences and strengthen cultural ties between Italy and Japan.
Through this public event, featuring a wide range of culinary, cultural, and artistic initiatives, ENIT Tokyo promoted Italy’s tourism offerings and unique charm through its exhibition booth and large-scale OOH digital displays.
The venue was divided into two main areas: Italian luxury brands and Italian gourmet & lifestyle experiences. In the luxury area, visitors admired vehicles from leading Italian luxury automotive brands, showcasing the latest models distinguished by their iconic design and unmistakable presence. In the gourmet and lifestyle section, stands featured popular Italian lifestyle brands and products representing the excellence of Made in Italy.
Recognized as one of the official events celebrating the 160th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and Japan, the festival also hosted the first collaboration with the popular magazine LEON, presenting the “Japan–Italy Stylish Gentleman Fashion Contest 2026.” Contestants from both Italy and Japan showcased their distinctive styles. The program also included a special talk session featuring Michihiko Yanai, Creative Director and Co-Chair of the Executive Committee for the Fukushima Reconstruction Support Project “September JAM.”
The gourmet area highlighted authentic Italian specialties that have gained popularity in recent years, including Roman-inspired dishes such as pinsa and supplì. Visitors also enjoyed the Tuscany wine corner, dedicated to one of Italy’s most celebrated wine regions, where the traditional buchetta del vino experience was recreated. A special stand was also dedicated to the Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium, celebrating one of the most iconic symbols of Italian food culture, widely known as the “King of Italian Cheeses.”
The event also welcomed leading artists from the contemporary Italian music scene. On the opening day, Colombre captivated audiences with his distinctive musical style, while Maria Antonietta performed the emotionally powerful songs for which she is widely acclaimed. Singer-songwriter Niccolò Fabi, beloved for his introspective and poetic storytelling, closed the evening’s performances.
The second day concluded with a special duo performance by Maria Antonietta and Colombre, who recently gained significant attention following their participation in the Sanremo Music Festival, alongside Aiello, one of the prominent voices of contemporary Italian R&B. Through performances ranging from established artists to the new generation of musicians, the program offered visitors an immersive experience of today’s Italian music scene.
Over the course of the two-day event, approximately 40,000 visitors attended and enthusiastically embraced Italian culture.
