Smarties for SMEs

Project

SMARTIES for SMEs is a transnational project supporting tourism SMEs in the EU Mediterranean region in achieving a green and digital transition.

It focuses on three key areas:

  • regenerative tourism (based on the Smart Way model of "The Phoenicians’ Route")
  • synergies between tourism and the agri-food ecosystem (promoting the Mediterranean Diet)
  • green and digital transition of businesses

The project conducts in-depth research, offers capacity-building through local and online training, and funds 75 innovative SME projects. It also fosters international collaboration via networking events and publishes a Mediterranean Diet Handbook to promote sustainable tourism practices.
