As part of the SMARTIES FOR SMEs project supported by the COSME programme, initiative partner ENIT SPA, is inviting Italian tourist businesses to present innovative projects. The aim is to support the 15 most creative projects selected.
Each approved project will receive a grant of 25,000 euros together with tailored advice and support during the implementation phase, scheduled to last approximately 15 months from April 2025 when the winners will be announced.
This call intends to seek out ideas and solutions featuring a high level of innovation and creativity, with a focus on long-term sustainability and replicability in the tourist industry. Proposals may be submitted by SMEs of any category, provided that their business falls within the scope of tourism and brings added value to the industry.
Projects must focus on at least one of the following themes:
The deadline for the submission of proposals is 24 January 2025, with announcement of the selection results in March 2025.
The SMARTIES for SMEs project, funded by the European Union’s COSME programme and involving eight partners from six European countries (Italy, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Portugal and Cyprus), aims to enhance the competitiveness of SMEs in the tourist industry. Its goal is to promote the green and digital transition, and to support innovation, resilience, sustainability and quality throughout the tourism supply chain in the EU Mediterranean region.
