Tuscany a region to discover: two stages and thousand panoramas and suggestions: from the mountains to the sea, from the Passo delle Radici with views of the Apuan Alps to the peaks of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, towards Garfagnana, the green valley with its chestnut woods, small ancient villages, towards its chief town, Castelnuovo Garfagnana, with its mighty 11th-century Ariosto fortress, to Gallicano and down the valley to Borgo a Mozzano, with its Ponte della Maddalena, known as the Devil's Bridge.
And after the Garfagnana the arrival in Versilia through Montemagno to Lido di Camaiore and Viareggio, a hilly area with the frame of the Apuan Alps, touched by the Tyrrhenian Sea breeze.
And from Versilia, from Camaiore towards Forte dei Marmi and towards the Riviera Apuana, towards lands facing the sea always framed by the Apuan Alps: Marina di Massa, Marina di Carrara, accompanied by the sight of villages, vineyards, by beaches and bathing establishments among flavours of land and sea.
