Want to experience Italy like never before?

Within the framework of the PNRR and the Caput Mundi program, ENIT S.p.A. promotes religious routes and the cultural heritage of Lazio, enhancing new forms of sustainable and digital tourism.

The “Ancient Paths of Italy” project, commissioned by the Ministry of Tourism, aims to promote cultural and religious itineraries through an innovative and integrated offering.

The main routes include the Via Francigena, Romea Strata, Via Romea Germanica, Via di Francesco, and the Cammino di San Benedetto, which cross Lazio and lead to Rome, the symbolic heart of Europe’s great pilgrimage traditions.

The objective is to promote alternative and lesser-known routes in order to ease tourist congestion and encourage a more balanced use of the territory.
