Tuscany: The Global Icon of Luxury Weddings
Tuscany confirms itself as the world queen of luxury weddings, with the United States as the primary reference market at 38.3%. In 2025, the region hosted over 2,860 weddings of foreign couples, a 4.8% increase that generated a record turnover of 213.7 million euros, representing a 14.1% growth. During this period, the average budget per event rose to 74,000 euros, an 8.8% increase. Over 52% of couples come from non-EU countries, attracted by iconic locations such as villas, which account for 26.5% of choices, followed by villages at 16% and castles at 12.3%. This growth involves widespread territories like Val d’Orcia, Chianti, and Elba Island.
To support this elite demand, the offering boasts 94 five-star hotels—32 of which are in the province of Florence alone—and a supply chain of over 1,000 qualified companies. For 2026, an increment of 5.3% is estimated, with strong interest in micro-weddings and elopements. Tuscany also promotes the charm of winter romance travel, proposing an intimate and refined atmosphere outside the traditional season to favor the de-seasonalization of tourist flows.
